Town of Valdese Celebrates Park Grand Opening

The Town of Valdese celebrated the grand opening of their revamped downtown park area, a two-year initiative that boasts a splash pad, playground, picnic shelter, and large multipurpose center.

The Town received funding from a variety of sources including the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Rostan Foundation, the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund, the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust and private donations to ignite the park, estimated to cost $1.1 million.

WR-Martin assisted the Town with procuring an USDA grant and loan worth $600,000 to help offset the costs associated with the new park.
